The Founder

Dr. Sandra Wright is a published researcher and retired Director General with the Government of Canada. A published researcher and retired Director General with the Government of Canada, she established the Institute to advance evidence-based research that helps individuals, organizations, and leaders better understand human behaviour and improve decision-making.

Drawing on more than 25 years of executive leadership in Canada's federal public service, Dr. Wright combines practical experience with academic research to examine complex workplace challenges and translate evidence into meaningful action.

Her work bridges the gap between research and practice, focusing on issues that affect organizations, careers, and everyday working life.

Academic Background

Dr. Wright holds a PhD in Management and has published peer-reviewed research in organizational behaviour and public administration. Her work has examined workplace harassment, personality and job performance in all-remote work environments, and organizational behaviour within the public sector.

She is committed to conducting independent, evidence-based research that contributes to both scholarly knowledge and practical organizational improvement.

Leadership Experience

Before founding Latitude Research Institute, Dr. Wright served as a Director General with the Government of Canada, leading complex national programs and organizational transformation initiatives. Throughout her career, she has worked at the intersection of policy, leadership, research, and organizational performance.
